Just finished up this buffet, I designed it myself, based on my customers likes. The veneer panels are waterfall bubinga, the primary wood hard maple. The top is figured maple, I wish I could have found a board with a little more figure in it. I also would have gone another 1/2" on the overhang if I could. Other than the wine storage the interior has adjustable shelves.I was going to make some mahogany pulls, time ran out as this had to be delivered sooner than I expected. All in all pretty happy with the outcome.

Jeff, I really like your design and your choice of woods. Bold and refined at the same time! A very nice piece.

A couple questions, what type of hinges did you use? Also, can you go into your veneering methods and tools? I haven't tried veneering, and am trying to learn all I can from those who have.

Thanks Paul, I used blum hinges for this project. My veneering methods are fairly simple, I used Certainly wood for the veeners, I use titebond cold press glue. I have a vacuum pump I salvaged a few years ago that I use in conjuction with a veneer bag. Its quick and painless for veneering.

I think it is good that the maple is not very figured because it would be fighting with the highly figured bubinga. This is a lovely cabinet and one you can be proud of. Good job.
