Anyone have one? There’s a guy selling one in Santa Fe for $400. The machine has always interested me in its uniqueness. The bed looks like it’s about 24” is that too short for any serious edge jointing? I’m not even sure if that is what it was designed for..:o

It is similar to the one in the pic minus the guard.

Studied, used it. Was selling for about what they're asking, new.
Ok for short work, some risk with all those cutters in your face, edge tearout common.
Seems the model makers liked it because it was quiet and easy to use for small stock.
Pushing implement required.

Thanks Pat. I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow if he still has it.

A friend of mine bought one several years ago. He was talking the other day of taking it to the scrap yard next time he goes.

You'll have to do your homework to see if it's something that would be useful to you. They are NOT a good replacement for a good jointer though. In all the posts I've read about them over the years there doesn't seem to be a lot of positive reinforcement for them. But if you can make use of it???

good luck,

I took a ride up to Santa Fe this morning and had a look at it. It was in nice condition but the guy wouldn’t budge on his price. It wasn’t a wasted trip though; I picked up some nice QSWO at Alpine lumber. :)

Thanks for all the info!
