Bandsaw blade for thick ebony

Earlier this year I bought a couple of Gabon ebony cants from Gilmer. Until now all the ebony I've purchased has been relatively thin (<2"). But these are up to 7" thick so I'm wondering what blade would be the most effective on them. I have a variety of blades for my MM16 including a Woodmaster CT carbide tipped blade. My coarsest blades are 2-3 teeth/in.

Anybody have experience cutting something like this?

Montgomery, have you tried the Woodmaster on it? That's what I'd choose.

I go for the thinest kerf that makes sense on expensive exotics. For around $40 (depending on the size of your saw) a Woodslicer does a nice thin, clean job for quite a distance. Like any steel blade, once its done, its done but, I get pretty good mileage out of them.

i would look at a carbide blade because of the hardness and density.
