stained blanks

what do you do to dark stained bowl blanks and other projects? is there a cure? or is it just more fiewood. ed

I think we are going to need some more info to give you much of an answer. What kind of wood? What kind of staining? Is this natural darkening/coloring in the wood? Water staining? Do you have any pictures?

It all depends on the piece. You might be able to turn it out, or make it part of the piece. There are wood bleaches, dyes, etc. that could be used to change the way it looks.
