I am looking at getting a wixey Digital height gauge for my newly acquired 2675. Does anyone have any pictures of one installed on any woodmaster drum sanders?

I believe woodmaster makes their own digital gauge, but i have not seen many good reviews on it, and quiet a few negative ones.

Thanks in advance.

I will follow this thread. I have the Woodmaster digital gauge on my 2675. It works OK but is difficult to read and goes through batteries like there’s no tomorrow. There’s a post here that talks about mounting a Wixey to the 718 molder/planer:

With either solution you're going to have to drill and tap parts of the planer to connect the gauge. With the Wixey you'll need to fabricate some larger brackets (simple cuts in aluminum). I like the idea shown here (http://www.forestryforum.com/board/index.php?topic=29827.0) that uses L-bracket to protect the gauge.

I've been using the Woodmaster DRO without any problems. However, IIRC they are the same price... having the "tilted" Wixey display would be a welcome improvement.
