Just got my new 39 photo gradient in the mail, so had to test it out with some recent projects.

This red oak bowl was started on Russell Eaton's Jet 1642, as he let me test drive his before I committed to last February's purchase of mine. Dug it out of a box last month and finished it up on my lathe, gave it layers and layers and layers of WTF, but those pores wouldn't even think about sealing. Beall buff to finish it off. No problem, I like the look. 7" D x 4.5" H. The crotch piece was very dry when I started it, and held up pretty well without any further cracking or movement. Photowise, I need more work on the lighting & color balance...

This is an older bowl, might have posted it already, but here it is on the gradient. Hickory NE, 6" D x 3.5" H. I think this was a satin wipe on poly.

Finally, a couple bolt action antler barrel pens with laser enhancements, another idea I stole from Russell.

Enjoy!

Nice work and nice of the bowls to not crack around the piths.

Just noticed... Looking at the two bowls' pics next to each other apparently reveals my individual "style" - channeling my "inner fondue pot"! :) Maybe I should consciously try another shape.

Steve,
All of your recent work is very nice. I am partial to the Hickory NE, but all of them are great. The photos are really good in my opinion.
