Thought that would get some eyes?

The local Woodcraft manager told me that they would be having a one day sale in early May, 6th or 7th comes to mind, but I'll double check.

One plane is 10% off, two is 15% off, and three nets you 20% off.

So, I need two other KC woodworkers in need (who isn't) of a Lie-Nielsen plane so we can package up a deal.

Rob, Scott, Jack, any takers?

Heck Terry in Ark. could even come up!!

:)

Can't afford them planes made of gold, even at 20% off.

Come on, their little apron plane is only $89, with 20% off you would only be out $70 for the little beauty.

Roy,

I was kidding about the 8, although if the lottery ticket hits. A 3 and 5.5 would make nice additions to your stable. Do you have any York Pitch frogs, might be something else to consider.

Roy,

Yes, the 4-1/2, 5-1/2, and 7 all use the same frog, so what are you leaning toward? A road trip does sound fun, but Indyfest is in a couple weeks, so better stay local.

IF I got the 5 1/2 YP that would give me 2 regular frogs & 2 YP's for the 4.5, 5.5. and the 7.....

I like that #164.......I've got a #62..........

I think I'll stick to hand scrapers unless those scraping planes are superb!!

Roy,

That is what I'm running. YP in the 4-1/2 and 5-1/2 and a regular pitch in the 7, but they are interchangeable so I can swap with the 7 if I need a regular pitch frog. I also have a 4 YP, so if you follow flattening to smoothing operations you can maintain the same angle. The 164 is a fine plane and I really like mine, you can't go wrong there. For scraping I have the Veritas version, a little less $$$ then the LN, and might be a better design. Others on my list include the 95, 140, and and number 2 (just because). At 20% off you can easily recover your expense on ebay if you change your mind.
