Taking a break from dramatics to play around with design in something a little easier to get my hands on.

11”x3.5” Cherry Salad Bowl. This is actually my first intended to be for salad...bowl.

Those are very nice and would grace any one's table. I like the rim treatment of the first one.

I'm really liking these bowls you've been posting lately. Both of these are nice but I especially like the simplicity of the "salad" bowl.

Those are really nice. Like the rim on the first and the simple form on the second.

I love Cherry, I wish we had some trees growing around here. Nice job on both of them but #2 is my favorite. Nice curve, it flows perfectly into the bottom. C'mon, show us the bottom! The bottom looks to be the proper proportion as well. The touch of sapwood on the opposing sides on the rim makes you think of handles.

#1 is nice also, but I don't like the rim detail as much as others. I think one bead would look better than two. I'd also remove the inside edge as it looks too fragile. Either remove it completely, or flatten off the top so it's even with the bottom of the middle bead. As it is right now I think it's competing with the beads. Removing or flattening it would show off the beads better. IMO.

And your spalted elm bowls that you've made? Absolutely gorgeous wood! I think you should send me a piece! :D

That first one really has my eye Jeremy...great flair to the lip, bead detail adds a lot of elegance. Finish looks soft...you really have a winner there!!

I love cherry.............

I like #2's form better, much more flowing, and I will agree with Pat about the rim on #1. #2's rim looks to slope inward just slightly, giving it an inviting look.

Two nice bowls deserving of serious showing off......................

Did I mention I love cherry?
