Corel 5 strart problem

Went to open X-5 and get a eror code 998 and it will not open. Work just fine a few hours ago, any ideas

Saw this on another Corel Problem site

....I had the same problem today and I have spent the entire day getting this fixed. As of right now it is now working, thanks to my Dell tech support!!! He went into the a file that showed what updates I had and noticed a Windows Critical Update early this morning (3 am) so went to the previous date and restored my computer to that day. Viola....it works now.

Thanks Mark, but did not work went back 5 days and same problem and error code. Don't use it much on this puter but nice to have when I need it.

Well, it was not a Corel problem but a Windows 7 problem. They did a crucial (LOL)update a few weeks ago and that was causing the problem did a restore back a month.
Corel started right up
