My newest project is a three panel craftsman door for a new closet I put in my lower level. I am wondering if anyone has dimensions for such a door.

28 inch door out of red oak 1 and 3/8 thick. I am using 5 inch styles and a 9inch base. Wondering for the panel thickness?

Also how high for the narrow panels?

Ay help from other dor builders would be great.

Thanks in advance.

See if these sites help. The midrail appears to be 50-58" from the bottom.

Iv'e built a bucket load of these things.
Use 1/2" ply for the infill.
Top panel should be roughly square.
use 5 1/2" stiles, go thicker than 1 3/8" on the rails and stiles. I like to build-up the side rails out of 2 plies of 4/4 material and then plane/joint down to 1 3/4" thickness. The lamination is cheaper than solid stock and it's more resistant to warping over time.
