Black Gum

I picked up a Black Gum log last week while out buying turning material. This is my first go around with Black Gum---- it is very wet.
Here's how I started out.

I ran out of hours today------- this is the first time I have turned Black Gum----- so far I like it------ stay tuned I will update pics.

Here's what I found in that blank------- can't wait till it dries enough to apply the finish. I am hoping the colors are highlighted, but that's going to be several weeks before I can start.
