They aren't totally current pieces, but at this time I'm trying some "complemented pieces" and, casually, I've dropped this briar urn on a boxroot cup.
I find the "marriage" not so bad...
all the stuff is about 6" x 3"1/2
Why the Sleeper ?
because the poem "le dormeur du val" thanks to Arthur Rimbaud
mine has too a big hole in the chest

Lionel - once again you offer us something out of the norm! Love the textures, the rustic quality of each piece and the natural colors! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!! Thanks for sharing!

Very interesting and organic work. It's almost as if it grew that way, like a strange wooden bloom.

I like the marriage..they do compliment, tho the idea would not cross the mind, until it was seen.. organic/rustic/ and lots of terms come to mind. This one takes some staring and contemplation.

I keep coming back to this one. I really like the combination. But then again, I think I would like the pieces individually too. I really like the sleeper in this one. I imagine it would also look great in a copper frame of some sort.

Hello all,
Thanks for the kindly words
@ Scott,
the sleeper is still alive and following your request, is there sitting on a copper wire (you'll recognize an old stand)240650

The stand is a little to expected, to me. I don't know if I was influnced by the poem or not but I prefer the reposed position.
