I won an auction online and pick up 4 planes for .99 cents (local pick up so no shipping charge:)) One was a handyman, Sargent Jack plane, 22” wooden plane in good condition and this?

I thought it was a molding plane but I’m a little confused by it. The blade is flat and sets in the middle of the plane. So you could use the inside and outside? The edge is brass. I think it’s missing a handle?

Any idea what kind it is?

Tongue and groove plane. You need its mate also.

It will likely work well to groove for drawer bottoms.

Your right it would be great for drawer bottoms the blade is 1/4 wide.
Thanks, Jacob

Also appears to have a mortise for an open tote, given the 1/4" groove it's probably sized for 3/4-4/4. Might have been used for flooring at one time?
