I have wanted a KM-1 Kerf Maker for a long time, and they are finally in stock.

If you don't understand what to do with one of these things, take a look at this:

I also want one of these...

Oh, and I see that they are now in stock. Did not expect that until next week. I was afraid that if I waited to order the KM-1, that they would sell out before they had the TM-1 in stock.

So, anyone else been waiting for these?

Those are neat. I was never able to bring myself to spending the money on one, though.

So it is shop-made spacers for me, I guess.

yes, that is exactly what they are. The nice thing from my perspective is the ability to first measure the cut width (ie, how wise is the saw) and how wide you need to cut, and it automatically provides the spacer of the correct width for you.

lots of $$ for sure.

Shop made copy works as well, just not as pretty

I have one that I bought several years ago, before I added a Wixey DRO to my table saw fence. The KM-1 works OK, but since adding the digital readout to my fence I've found that it's easier for me to just use it to get the cuts spaced correctly so I haven't used the KM-1 very much.
