Absent better ideas, I suggest that we hold this "event" at the Sheraton-Pasadena (also home of the convention center) in/at Charlie's Bar. I imagine the 7-9pm range on Thursday (10/11/12) would be the optimal time range. The bar has tables and food available. There is a pic available on the hotel web site.
I'm thinking that meeting at the Sheraton is easiest for all the folks who are traveling (including me) and there is parking for folks who might be driving. It's also easy to find since the convention center faces one street and the hotel entrance the opposite street of the same block.
