I adore wood and all it's natural colors, but sometimes I need a color boost. So I decided to go all out on this hollowform. Shocking color. Hope you enjoy this change of pace. This piece was made awhile back, and I found it a tad boring on my shelf, so I thought, why not go very very colorful. It even has tiny sparkles.
(By the way, I made these open flutes on the jig i explained to ya'll a week or so ago. )

That sure jumps out at you, but I think it really works.
I like everything about it.

Your work is awsome. Personally I prefer the au-natural. It's great to be different though.

Pretty cool...and not a thing wrong with a little Teal color! (gee, I hope I got that right!).
Just curious, is the handle using the parts from a corkscrew kit...if so, very clever. Gives an art deco look to it.

Is this hollow Michelle? How deep are the grooves.........the pics don't show any close up detail, but this is indeed a looker. You seem to have an affinity for the unusual........it does set your work apart from what is seen most of the time. Nice....very nice!!!

I really think my favorite part is the handle...maybe an oriental feel?

indeed it is a corkscrew, Mr. Eagle Eyes!:D I'd call it Teal too, but the official color is Green Interference. What the heck that means, i do not know!

Very nice Michelle! I think the color works with this piece (we all need a little spice now and then), great form and I love the handle from a cork screw kit! You always come up with such different ideas and I always look forward to what you'll come up with next.

I love the look - I see the art deco. That is a look I aspire to create; when I try it turns out more art-3rd grade!!!
