Traced bitmap

I am stuck!!
How do I remove the bitmap that I have just traced. I need to edit the trace but don't know how to get rid of the bitmap to leave just the trace.
I am using Corelx5.

Just click on it and the trace will be selected. Move it and delete the bitmap under it if that's what you want. You'll need to ungroup the trace in order to work on it.

Or create another layer and move either the trace or the bit map to the new layer.
Place the bitmap layer in the non-edit condition.
Then work on the trace layer to do your editing. The bitmap will be available for reference.

Bobby when you click on "trace bitmaps" you should get some options (X3 has them so I think X5 would too)
If you check "High quality image" you will have split screen (before and after) and on right side there are options for you to check such as "Delete original", "Delete background". Click on these two options and you will get what you're after.
Hope that X5 did not change these settings (I'm still on X3).
