Are there any turners that model rail road? if so what scale and what do you make in your shop/turning that is used on your layout? Pics are nice here is one of mine I made a jill poke ( N scale ) for unloading log cars. I could have just bought dowels but whats the fun in that? I used a jacobs type chuck I wacked out from a defunct drill motor and mounted it in my SN2 and a pointy live center to hold on my Jet 1236. I used the tip of my overly large skew and some 80 grit paper . The jill poke works by having the engine backing up the log load until it engages the poke the begins backing, thus forcing the logs off the car , in this case they go into pond but the ramp has not been built yet so the cars sit loaded until I get off my duff and make the off load ramp...
