Check the ENVLP utility for Corel draw that this guy makes. I bought it last year for putting text in different shaped objects
and it works great.

Martin, what version of Corel are you using??? If we knew that might be able to point you in the direction. Fit Text to shape is a feature that corel keeps cutting or relocating in menus & tools from version to version. In my opinion Corel 9 had the best point & click Fit Text to shape tool but it changed on how to do it after that. Essentialy the feature is still there just some different ways of doing it.

This corel forum post refers to some different ways of doing it. http://coreldraw.com/forums/p/12886/53094.aspx

Hope it helps

Marty,
Are you wanting to FIT TEXT TO A PATH or to manipulate it so that is just the wording placed to make a diamond shape? Fit to Path should be in the drop down menu items under Text on the command bar at the top. Otherwise, convert the text to curves and then weld it together as needed. You could also Fit to Path as a diamond, then break it apart and manipulate from there.

Larry, I am looking for the text to fill a diamond shape, and take the shape of a diamond.

You want to use the Envelope Tool for that. A quick read in Help, Help Topics and select Envelope in the Index should get you started. There are probably several youtube videos out there too.

If I'm reading this right you are wanting to produce a "Word Cloud".
There was a discussion of this previously with some very lively examples and discussions.
