Here is the piece I made for the WoW swap at SWAT, this year.

Spalted silver maple from good ole Jeff Nicol. African blackwood finial, tung oil finish, beal buffed.

3 1/2" x 7"

Scott,
You could dip the finial in ink and write with it. Very delicate.

Great curve on this one, Scott....flows in one uninterrupted line from top to bottom.....like the finial as always........good stuff!

Scott, You did good with the chunk of maple, the finial is very sleek and elegant and works well with the spalted wood.

Some one will get a very nice piece of art,

I wish I had time to do a swap piece. Work has been killing me. Someone is going to be very lucky. That is a lovely piece.

I wish I had something prepared for the swap at SWAT, but have had other things on my mind such as getting ready for my demo "Bowl Turning for Beginners" which will be Sunday morning sessions. I will try to get by the swap to meet some of the WOW folks and see what to do next year when things are less hectic.

Thanks for the comments. I can "almost" breath a sign of relief on completing everything planned for SWAT. I had to get this one done and a few more. The last one is drying it's last coat of WOP and might get buffed tonight.
