I turned this ashtray for a fellow cigar smoker as a B_Day gift.
Poplar stained ebony, because Poplar alone isn't exactly spectacular.
Turned down for a metal insert meant for a candle holder.
Also turned a "cigar" for presentation purposes with a burned section thanks to a propane torch :)
All and all went well and turned out very usable.
