Weekend Turnings - Rosewood, Maple, and Sycamore

Finished turned some bowl this weekend. Both the sycamore and maple cracked pretty bad while drying. Bummer. Should have known better than to try and dry them in my kiln in August in Texas. They just dried way too fast. Live and learn...

That's a nice collection, Clark. Is the ambrosia maple? I haven't seen amb sycamore

Very nice. I always prefer bowls that come back in at the top.

Clark - that is a nice variety of work! You sure picked a tough form to hollow on the Rosewood piece! I know how hard it can be to get into the shoulder area! Too bad about the cracks... it happens.
