Announcing this years pen exchange - 2012

I will attempt to run this years pens exchange. Let me know if there is any interest. As I am new to this it may take a week or two to finalize things and get the word out.
Hopefully I can get a moderator to make a "sticky"
for this.

for the most part yes jim that is what it is. you get a chance to enjoy the talents of other individuals as well as sharing your talents and imagination with them.
i will post some loose guidelines in a day or three after i gauge the interest from the forum.

Ok people here it is.
Some final details
I bascially took the guidelines from last years exchange and changed some dates.
I will close this on friday sept 7th, after which time i will compile a list of participants and then post pairings.
What is listed belows is just a copy and paste from last years exchange run by James Combs. Hopefully it will be run as smoothly


I have volunteered to organize and coordinate the "2012 SMC Pen Exchange" so that we Creeker pen turner’s can share our talents with one another. All I need is for you to “Opt In” by posting in THIS THREAD, or sending me a pm, even if you have already posted in the "Pen Trade" thread. This will be the official "Opt In" so that I will have a consolidated list of all the participants.

On Sept 9th I will pick at random Creekers from the list of participants and pair them. I will then post the pairs on this thread. It will be your responsibility to contact your paired partner to do the exchange.

I also want to make people aware that they are responsible for meeting their commitments for exchanging the pens. Make sure that you both agree on the type of pens you are exchanging so that the exchange is fairly even.

On October 14th I will start a new thread "2012 SMC Pen Exchange Photos". Please post photos of the pen that you received plus photos of any accessory items that may have came with it in that thread.

A Completion Date of October 30, 2012 has been established. All pens should be turned, finished and shipped by 10/30/2012.

BTW you aren't the only one who made a mistake recently....I drew a winners name this morning for a FreeStuff Drawing for a prize that was scheduled for tomorrow.
