3520 question

I have a 3520A. I would like to know if the 18 inch bed extension now sold for the 3520B would fit correctly on the A model. The bed ways on the A is .625 thick. I have heard this dimension and maybe others on the bed may vary between the 3520 3520A and 3520B. I querried WMT and a distributor and kind of got blow off answers.

My 3520b ways are 9/16" thick. I would think you could adjust the nut a little tighter and it would fit fine. Don't know for sure. Just my thoughts.

Put the bed extension on my "B" and was told it would not fit the "A". Also know they are different part numbers. Don't remember what the differences were, could have been the bolt holes but not sure.
