I finished this a couple of months ago except for burning in the names and date. It was good that I waited as my B-I-L (Her father) has cancer and is undergoing radiation and chemo therapy. He says she moved the wedding up so that he would still be handsome and have some hair!

Goblet is about 7" tall, maple and wood burning. The layout on the knots probably took as long as turning and burning put together.
While on a trip to the wedding and to my mom's 92nd birthday I was informed that I need to make three more for nieces on my side of the family. I thought about interlocking the rings, but this maple is so hard that I felt I would have had to mar the rings to break one, so I decided not to. When I explained that to the young bride and told her she should consider these as 'unbreakable rings', she absolutely gushed...

C&C welcome.

Awesome. I assume those rings are trapped?

Yes, they are. The goblet and rings are from a single piece. My next goblet willl have dolphins intertwining, but will probably be turned almost identical, and from the same table leg blank. the wood is so plain that the pyrography was almost a neccessity,

Thomas, wonderful job! The shape is very similar along with bead to one I made my niece for her wedding last year...but yours goes over the top with the super pyro work! Making the one for my niece was very satisfying, and I'm guessing this was for you too. Well done sir!

Sweet! There looks to be some nice work on the top of the base that is covered by the rings... Three more? There goes the rest of those table legs!
