:) I got my love for woodworking from my Grandfather, who was the woodshop foreman at Pullman Standard Railcar in Bessemer Al, from my childhood. He felt that woodworking was more than a craft or hobby but that it was a great character builder and teacher of patience and planning. I now am grown and have built my own woodworking shop and I use the same lathe that he used plus some other tools he used. Now I am taking those same lessons and giving them to my son. There are not many things that 17 year olds have in common with their 47 year old Fathers so when you find something you feel fortunate. My son loves woodworking and in particular working on the lathe. Here's a pic of him:D

Wonderful legacy, Jack. I was not fortunate enough growing up to have any role models like that. Both of our sons live away so there's not too much chance that I can pass my love for woodworking along. Although I do what I can.

Next it'll be the grandkids.
