Looking for an owner of a Grizzly 17 inch bandsaw in Saint Louis, Missouri area

I am planning to purchase the Grizzly G0513X2 or G0513X2f. When I e-mailed Grizzly they said that they did not have either models in their Springfield Missouri showroom and even if they did, they would not allow me to try resawing on them.

Is there anyone in the Saint Louis Missouri area that has either of these and would be willing to allow me to come over and look at and try resawing?

That's weird. I'm sure the Springfield showroom has a 17" or 18" bandsaw setup in their "demo room".

From a reply to an e-mail I had sent Grizzly:

The G0513X2BF is currently out of stock and not on display in Springfield, MO. We expect to receive it back into stock on approximately October 3, 2012.

I live in Lake Ozark, if you want to drive that far. I got the 513X2BF back in Feb. Been good so far.

I'm not within driving distance, but I have a 0513XB2 and it does a great job. I dont resaw much on it (I have a separate machine for that), but the little that I have done on it has been more than satisfactory.

I highly recommend the saw.
