Here are part of a dozen I made day before and yesterday. I was asked if I could provide some close up's of the brick and barn style. I also had a couple of small pieces of maple burl that was spalted which sure turned out pretty. Didn't do anything to them as they show off themselves. All are around 3 1/2" tall and 2 to 2 1/2" wide and all finished with lacquer. The coloring was done with Copic pens with the double end (brush and spade). They do work nicely for small projects. Anyway enjoy. Only 50 more or so to go.:D

I've been enjoying your birdhouses Bernie. Nice work! I really like the detailing you've done...

What is the gray wood you have in those things? Or did you dye it to be grey? I like the weathered boards effect.

Love Them, Bernie. I want the one on the far right for my grandson. Tell me how I can get one from you.

Thanks everyone. I figured by now everyone would be tired of them.

Jim the weathered wood look is dyed with Cool Grey Copic double end pen from Hobby Lobby. I really like the weathered look it gives. I burn little dots to make it look like the knots in the wood old barns I have seen.

these are all great. Nice forms and the finish, painting and pyro make for a great look. You've got the system down!
