Does anyone want large, free turning stock?
I live near Excelsior, MN and I am helping my neighbor clean up a red oak that blew down two weeks ago.
The tree at the smallest end is about 18 inches diameter and about 36 inches diameter at the large end.
There are a lot of crotches. In the picture, I am standing next to a crotch that is 36 inches across.
The trunk is 30 feet long and is supported off the ground. I didn't want anybody to hit the ground with their chain.
Here's the deal.
It's FREE!
I ask that you bring your largest chain saw. Mine only has an 18 bar. Bragging rights for the biggest saw. ;-)
It would be nice if you brought a strong friend. I'm a little tuckered out from sawing amd moving wood for two days.
EDIT: Please let me know what time you can make it.
You can back your truck to with in 40 feet of the tree, all level ground.
Here's the catch.
You assume all liability for accidents or injury.
PM me for my address. I am located about 8 miles west of 494, just off of highway 7, 1 mile west of Excelsior.
I would hate for this wood to end up as firewood.
