FYI, for those of you (like me) that can't stomach the cost of a turning smock I found a near perfect alternative for cheap. It is a microfiber and lightweight with half sleeves and high zip collar. Might benefit from a little velcro to tighten the collar and keep the chips out, but it already has a pretty close fit. I got mine from a local overstock store, but also found it online for dirt cheap. No rear pockets, but I've heard other don't use them anyway.

I would think that microfiber would grab hold of every chip and piece of dust that you make. I go to the Good Well store or one like it and buy cheap golf windbreakers They have high neck callers, zip close pockets and are nylon that wood chips wont stick to. The LOML cuts the sleeves off to help keep me cool but these windbreakers have cooling openings to.

Me too yeah--the cheaper the thinner the cooler the better.

I do like Harry and get a golf windbreaker that is nylon. Chips don't stick and it cost me $1.25.
