Does the DeWalt track saw require any certain type of blade, or will any 6.5" blade work? I seem to remember reading that the Festool, at least, could only use Festool blades, but wasn't sure why, or if this was true for the DeWalt, also.

The Festools want a blade with a 20 mm hole. IRRC, the Dewalt does too. Several saw manufacturers offer blades for 20 mm arbors -- Freud, Forrest, CMT.

Many saw blades have 5/8" hole, which isn't the same thing.

165mm w/ a 20mm arbor. If it fits Festool it fits Dewalt. Dewalt, Festool, Freud and Forrest to name a few.

I wrote the review that pointed this out. The Dewalt can use Festool blades but the Festool saw cannot use a Dewalt blade. It is slightly lager than a festool blade and the teeth hit a little part of the riving knife in the Festool ts55.
