I find the "New Member" vs. "Member" stuff rather amusing. I believe I was the third person to register (after the administrators), and I wrote the first posting on the board (the first messages since disappeared in the turmoil of configuring the board), but I am still a "New Member".

Bjarne, I wouldn't worry too much about the "Title". Plus, by his own admission, the "old man" is kinda' cocky, anyway! Give the guy his moment of fame. He just needed another reason to crack open another Bud! I've seen enough of his posts to not pay attention to such trivial stuff. I can freely say all this, because I don't live anywhere near him, so I don't have to worry (too much) 'bout him coming over and kicking my proverbial posterior into the next county! (LOL)

Ken, I enjoy your posts. It's sure amazing to see the old man at work. I guess these creeks will be over flowing with your since of humor before long. I've made 8 pens in two days.(Thats a job you would have done before breakfast) but its quite exciting to a newbe like me.

All kidding aside, I can only hope that I'm half as talented and energetic when I hit 55 as Ken is right now! He does kick serious butt on the pens, atomizers, toothpick holders, etc... BUT, you also need to have him show you around some of the flatwork he's done! We're talkin' some real, real pretty stuff! The old fart's got more talent in his little finger than I do in my whole body! And you're right...8 pens is just a warmup for him.

Hmph...You will note that he did NOT respond! Hits "member" status and picks up an attitude!

Hell - I hit 55 more than a decade ago --- when you get to 55 you will still be a youngster. You will look a little like this:

This is my 30th post so I am now a member also
I started early in the beginning, it said I was number 3, but this might be like the birthday thing, where we all got the same date.

You can't fool us! You may call yourself the Old Man, post funny moving .gif's of Old Fa*ts and cry in your Budweiser with a "nurse" on each arm but you are one spry guy!

Now, stop posting and give me a chance to catch up... pen blanks are a'waitin'

Left coast Dave,

I think "The Old Man" is still fooling you. In depth research and guessing has led me to the conclusion that Ken is actually not fewer than four, or more than eight, people. Investigation is ongoing....

Yeah, one of "identities" is either Tommy Skaggs or Norm Abram - or is it Tommy Abram and Norm Skaggs?

I've seen "Ken's" picture standing in front of his "Yankee" workshop :D

That picture alone should tell you something is up! When was the last time you saw a guy from Alabama call his workshop a "Yankee" workshop?

Somethin's fishy! Keep us in the loop as your research continues.

The sign does not say "Yankee" workshop.
