Do it the neander way!

I got this one at a farm market antique/junk dealer for $9. After an hour with the Bosch sander and 40 grit:eek: (yeah, it had so much rust I think someone was doing underwatter logging:rolleyes:)through 1200 grit and some boeshield. Handle got the usual treatment of plain linseed oil. The patina is awesome, just like all the other old tools. As can be seen it is a M tooth 2 and raker. Some different looking rakers, but none the less, it works. I took it to a few old pieces of white oak that's been sitting under the deck for 3/4 of a year. It cuts nice, I can't wait to try it on green logs.

Your closeup photo is a bit fuzzy, but those are the the strangest rakers I have ever seen. Is there a maker's name on the medallion?

yeah, its fuzzy cuz Im a neander, Im not suppose to know how to use these new fangled electric things. But, it just has a warranted superior medallion. No etching that I can see, no nothing. It's a cool saw nonetheless and we'll get our use out of it.

Those pin-hole cameras are a bit finiky for close ups eh? :D

Those raker teeth are pretty cool in my book...is M2 tooth your description or is this a known tag line?

A handy tool you have there for sure...

M2 is the tooth style. M shaped teeth. 2 crosscut teeth and then a raker, hence 2 and R. It took me a while to figure out too:cool:
