I bought four of Bench Dog's orange featherboards at Lowes a while back. While tightening one of them on the router table, the plastic handle on the wingnuts came off. I took a good look at all of them and found that two of the featherboards had wingnuts with steel inserts about 5/8" thick, while the other two, including the one that failed had simple 1/4" nuts imbedded in the plastic.
I called Bench Dog about it, and a very helpful lady said she remembered something about a running change to the wingnuts. She went to the storeroom and found four of the new style wingnuts for the two featherboards that had the weak type, and said she would mail them to me.
That was three days ago. I just got them in the mail....no charge.
That is good customer service.
