This month's FWW (Fine Woodworking) has an introductory article on segmented turning. I think it is a good overview for someone interested in getting started.

It helps advertise the technique. A year ago, I didn't know what segmented turning was. Made my first bowl several months ago, now making my first accent ring piece. (Not Wyko quality, but a start).

I saw that article Tom and it is a good one. I have only made one segmented bowl but hope to do a few more vases and bowls.
