Time for my gloat.

I got a decent price ($449) on the Jet 1236 lathe and also on some Gross-Stabil clamps....just recieved 8 of them.

I've never turned in my life (catholic school....no shop) but played a little on a piece of pine and with a hand chisel while I await my Crown set from HF.

The clamps are great, I got 4-40", 2-32", and 2-24" from Redmond Machinery and I'm quite happy with them as well.

Just a thought - & I know nothing about turning but . . .

I've read a number of posts about bowls blowing apart while turning them - Are you sure you want your new toy - er I mean tool - right in front of the window like that? :rolleyes:

BTW, checked your website and spotted the sanding disc holder. Neat idea, may have to make me one. Steve:D
