Lucy Lee says that the 6040 laser can run on 110 or 220. Can someone tell me if there is a power loss with going with 110 rather than 220? I was also wondering if there would be more electricity cost for operating it too. I just want to make sure that it will be ok to go with 110 because I don't have a hook up for 220. Just need to see if someone can tell me the pro and cons or 110 vs 220.

The general, the thought is that they are accustomed to building equipment for 240VAC, since that is their native power source. So to avoid issues, it's better to stick with 240VAC. Also, if you are getting a water chiller and blower, they will probably require 240VAC. Power loss is not a factor at the power levels we are dealing with.

Makes no difference whatsoever..nada zip zero. Buy whatever you have available. Power supplies are manufactured for voltage / frequency requirements of different countries. Switchable power supplies are configured to deal with both.
