New to Phoenix, looking for acrylic scrap

Hey all,

I just moved to Phoenix, AZ.. Tempe, to be exact. I'm just a hobbyist and was looking for recommendations on places I can pick up scrap acrylic ? I've never been to a TAP Plastics, but I've heard of them, is that a good choice ? Where I came from I used to go to a small indie-owned mom and pop shop, and they were amazing. Also, if there are any other hobbyists in the area, feel free to PM me, maybe we can go for a beer!

Check your yellow pages for plastics dealers. They will often sell scrap by the pound at very good prices.

Check your yellow pages for plastics dealers. They will often sell scrap by the pound at very good prices.

As TAP does, but they are only on the west coast, CA, OR and WA. You need a plastics supplier that does fabrication for the best scraps, but at least one that cuts to size. Many of them sell only whole sheets or standard sizes that leave few if any scraps.
