Hey guys,
I was curious if anyone is in the KC/Lawrence area and knows of a decent hardwood supplier?
I live in Lawrence, but am willing to drive a ways to get decent lumber.

Thanks!

When I was younger and lived in Kansas the shop I worked for got their lumber from Paxton Lumber. Looks like they still exist. I think my brother gets wood from them.

Paxton is strictly wholesale now. Jesse, what are you looking for? There's Mark Frieden near you. Kansas hardwoods. Schutte Lumber in KC, Mo. Metro Hardwoods in Independence. Liberty hardwoods in Independence (large quantities). There's a guy in Platte city that advertises on Craigslist quite often. A Guy in Wathena, Ks on Craigslist as well. Simpson & sons in St. Joseph, Mo. (native hardwoods). American Walnut in St. Joseph, Mo.
