I just purchased a Grizzly G0656P 8" jointer and had a chance to put it to use for the first time yesterday. What I found was that most of the chips produced by a jointing operation ended up on the floor at the infeed side, or under the cabinet, with apparently little ending up in the dust collection chute and the dust collector. I have a HF dust collector that is only attached to a single machine at a time. I don't have any similar problems with other machines and this dust collector.
For those who own this jointer, is this common with this jointer? Are there any ways to improve the chip collection?
