Not much figure or anything pretty about the wood, but I did like the "eyes" on each side of the bowl. 9 7/8" dia. x 4 1/4" tall. This maxed out my lathe, 10" swing. I started worrying near the end that it would hit the bed when it started warping a little.

Nothing wrong with that bowl. A bunch more would make a nice set.

Very nicely done, clean flowing lines and the "eyes" add a lot to the piece. Very clean surfaces too which adds to the whole effect

Yup, very, very nice indeed! And it's a great piece of walnut, love the "clean" look to it also.

Deane:
Simple, elegant form and a beautful piece of walnut. Very well done . . .
What's the wall thickness?

it was a hair under 3/16" when turned but parts have shrunk to 1/8" away from the center. It also footballed about 1/4" since it was turned a little wet. Thanks,
Deane

What a pretty bowl! I can see lots of different colors in it and the form is really nice. Great job!

That's a "classic" Deane. Beautiful in it's simplicity. I have yet to manage one that nice!

Very nice Deanne! As the others have said, nice clean form, nice wood and the orientation looks great too.
