What adhesive?

Im working on an urn out of cherry. Im using a peice of 6inch PVC for the thread so the top screws on. What adhesive should be used to bond the PVC to the cherry?

I did one for my BIL about 2 months ago. I roughed up the inside of one and the outside of the other piece of PVC with sandpaper where the glue will go. I used epoxy and let it setup for 24 hrs before I tried it. Worked great. I used 3" threaded pieces.

Like Bernie, I would use 2-part epoxy.

any particular brand? Will the bond be strong enough to finish turn the lid once it is screwed on?
