I am a bit of a Craigslist junkie... actually it is a bit of a hobby that is fun. Recently I saw an add for a Lathe and turning stuff. The add was poorly spelled and it was obvious whoever listed it didn't know what they had. I called the guy and after he read the labels to me I knew it was a deal for me. Problem was he was three hours away in the middle of nowhere... he agreed to deliver it and I met him an hour from me last week. After selling everything I didn't want / need, I ended up with the following:
Sorby 3/8" bowl gouge
P&N 12mm Bowl gouge with P&N handle
Hamlet 3/8" 2030 bowl gouge
Artisan 1/2" bowl gouge
Sorby 1" oval skew
Henry Taylor 1-1/4" skew (this thing scares me)
Genuine Vicmarc VM100 with standard jaws, Long Nose Jaws and Shark Jaws, extra screw (everything still had a coat of shipping oil on it that cleaned up with mineral spirits). I had the original invoice from Vicmarc in Australia in the box...
Oneway live center set (this is the one item I saw in the CL pic that I knew I wanted).
no pic, didn't happen, right? proof below:
236495
Thanks to all who bought the items I listed last week (listed on the SMC classifieds).
My outlay for the above after selling everything else... $5.10
With it being so hot in AZ right now, tool collecting is as fun as turning.
