Here are four different styles of chisels.
I know the thinnest is a paring chisel. I'm guessing the thickest is a mortise chisel. I'm not sure what the two middle ones are.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Chisel details from top to bottom (all are 1/4"):
1. TH WITHERBY (for length reference this one is 11")
2. USA (other side has ___ EDGE TOOL WORKS ___ CONN US__
3. THE JAMES SWAN CO (I think)
4. Robert Sorby 6mm/ 1/4" Shefield England

The top three look like sash mortise chisels.

Top profile looks like a heavy sash mortise chisel, maybe even a mortise -- but all mine have heavy tangs not sockets.
Middle two, I agree with James--sash mortise chisels
Bottom--looks like a paring chisel

I think the top two are those common as dirt no handle chisels, very bad users, hard to grip, dig into your mallet... better send them this way...ha
