Turned a piece of cherry from a block, and it started looking like a pencil holder, so that's what it became. After a lot of experimentation with the aspect ratio (since the ends are a different diameter than the center), I engraved a St Thomas map on it, since that's where I met LOML 30ish years ago. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful piece of wood, I love the way the grain makes the contours on the map - you did a great job, the shape is very cool with the two fatter ends, thanks for sharing!

Looking good! I saw those over on IAP too.
in the thumbnails, it almost looks like a live edge turning that
happens to be shaped like the island!
