Heck I don't know what this stuff is called. You know....the vertical plastic strips that are used in butcher shops to act as a thermal barrier between a refrigerated space and a space that is not refrigerated. I would like to get my hands on some of that stuff to create a similar barrier between a one car garage (my shop) and an adjacent (but perpindicular) two car garage. The opening between them is about 6 feet wide and I would like it to decrease the amount of sawdust that would otherwise find its way into the two car garage and layer on the cars there (as well as aid in climate control). Any ideas where I can acquire this stuff? Any idea what its called?

Have you looked at Industrial Supply places like McMaster Carr or Grainger? Both have on line catalogs. Otherwise material handling dealers have it. It is used in all sorts of warehouse applications.

Hi Glen,

They're called Plastic Strip Curtains... I found a website in Minneapolis
http://www.controlnoise.com/stripcurtain.html

But it looks like there's lots of suppliers
hope this helps

I used two sheets of plastic back to back and hung them from the ceiling. I then cut alternating slits top to bottom. Created the same effect .

If you don't mind used, you can find these on that unnamed online auction marketplace by searching for Strip curtain (not strip curtains).

Glen,

US Plastics calls them Vinyl Strip Doors. They sell a variety of them, with easy online ordering even. :D
