I built this swing set for a customer that wanted an adult to be able to swing on it 20 years from now. She wanted a couple pipes stuck in the ground and this is what I came up with instead. I wanted to try my hand at doing actual mortise and tenon timber frame joints but unfortunately I didn't make a dime on this darn thing and couldn't budget in all of that extra labor so I had to go with bolts and brackets. Also I am not happy at the t brackets because they are made for 4x4's and not 6x6's but again budget constraints came in to play. I am hoping that this will be a good advertising piece for my new general contracting/handyman/furniture/ whatever will pay the bills company.
