I know its been a while since I stopped by ye ole creek to soak my feet, so when I came across this I just had to share.

I called a friend of mine who has a mill to see if he had any spare wood layin around I could use to make wall clocks. He said he had a couple pieces of oak sitting in the saw shed thats been there six or eight years and he's not sure if its any good after sitting so long but it was stacked and stickered so he was sure I could salvage something out of it....

And veddy nice wood it turned out to be...

4 planks 2-1/4" by 8 feet long. Any one of em would make a fine bar top. I'll have to ponder what it will be for a bit before I start cutting it up. Six plus years seasoned so it will stay true.

Gorgeous stuff going on in the grain, we will see if what I come up with is worthy. Those of you that know wood will appreciate it for what it is/

And the best part is he gave it to me! :D
Now in addition to a few wall clocks I think I'll be building me a new computer desk.
I'll let ya know what I come up with.

Yeah Free, and I know I suck.

I did promise to make him a wall clock so I am obligated to some extent.
