Shopping for an hvlp system

I was planning on getting an Earlex 5500 system, but I have stumbled into a few more dollars and was wondering if the 6900 was a worthwhile upgrade. I have been doing mostly small projects but have plans to do more furniture type projects soon. I have been using shellac, lacquer, and wipe on varnish so far,mwith a few projects with water based poly.

The 6900 would be about $600 or so once I got the extra tips and cleaning kit. I could consider another brand, but not for much more money than that.

look at the fuji mini-mite 3. several place have it for $560-$580 range. i feel the gun that fuji has is much better that the earlex gun. being the 6900 and the mini-mite are both 3 stage turbines i don't think there is much difference between them. of the two my personal choice would be the fuji.
