My wife and I have a room reserved and tickets to the exhibits. Is anyone else planning to attend this event?

My wife and I are going also, what hotel did you decide on, there are so many, have never been there, reading reviews on the web is confusing, one person loves it, the best they ever had, the next one says its a dump. The orleans seems to have the fewest complaints so far, any suggestions from the rest of you.

thanks

Really depends on what you want to spend.

Obviously, the more expensive hotels: Mandelay Bay, Paris, Bellagio, Venitian, etc. are very, very nice.

What I always find is, who cares what the hotel is like, you'll spend much of your time visiting the others, so often something in the middle is nice. It can be a long walk from hotel to hotel, there are some rails and can take taxi's for longer treks.

Be sure to spend some time watching the Bellagio water show, you'll find yourself sitting there for hours.... best thing is it is free, not many thing like that there. Go spend some time waking through the Venitian, makes you feel like your in Venice, maybe get romantic and take a boat ride.

Be for warned, there are folks peddling porn crap all over the place and will even give to minors. Just be ready to ignore, don't make eye contact. They are really trying get the sin back into the city.

There is so much to do and some free and others cheap, but the good old days of huge buffets for cheap ain't like they used to be. The best buffett is at the Bellagio, but it will cost you $25 a head.

Don't forget about the free drinks while playing, it doesn't matter if your on a nickle slot or high roller. I've drank many free drinks on $5 sitting in front of a slot.... just ask one of the many gorgious ladies wairing those revelling outfits.... just warn the wife, I am just looking hunny and your my only love.

One last thing, stay away from the MGM, nice hotel, but you'll walk for ever to get to an elevator... trust me. They do have live animals....

Have fun in Lost Wages, remember it's not gambling it playing the laws of statistics... the house always has the stats in their favor.

Go go www.cheapovegas.com and review that site. It has tons of detailed information on the rooms available at each hotel.

We are staying at the STRATOSPHERE TOWER
$275 for four nights for both of us. Our daughter stayed there and loved it.

We live in Northern Utah, so we can drive there.

We were there in February and stayed at New York, New York. We got a really good rate--$86/night on Monday and Tuesday night, including 2-for-1 breakfast in the morning. If you have time and a car, be sure to get out of the city--Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon are very nice. Also be sure to get downtown for the light show in the evening. We did a LOT of walking, but made good use of the trains as well.

Hi, Most likely going. This is the first year the show will be in Vegas, in prior years it was in Anaheim. From preliminary reports it looks like the move to Vegas was a good one as exhibitor space is exceding the previous years in Anaheim.
If you've never been to one of these big shows like this and the IWF, plan out what you want to do and see. The size and amount of things on display can be mind boggling at first.
take care,
John

I plan on going. That is if Bob promises NOT to sell me anything. As time gets closer and we know who is going, it would be fun to get together for lunch or drinks.

Bob,

Stay away from the blackjack tables...the slot machines and the girls offering to have a party ..with just the two of you...

Hopefully, I will be there at the Festool booth.
